The Walt Disney Family Museum is located in San Francisco, in the beautiful Presidio area. This museum is open year around and often offers different Disney related exhibits, this time around we go to check out the Mickey Mouse Exhibit. But I digress, the museum it self is absolutely beautiful. It offers a rich historical back ground of Walt Disney himself, from his childhood, to his first Hollywood days, creation of Mickey, Disneyland and bring your tissues because the museum walk through ends with the death of Mr. Disney and the worlds’ reaction. It is an absolute must visit is you are a Disney fan and/or are around the San Francisco area.

As previously mentioned, the Walt Disney Family Museum often offers special exhibits and this time we got to visit the, ” Mickey Mouse: From Walt To The World,” exhibit. This is exhibit is truly magical! As the saying goes, “it started with a mouse.” Well now you can see how it all started and the evolution in animation from then to now. From the black and white films, like Steam Boat Willie, to the current Mickey Mouse and friends shows on the Disney channel. And just like the primary museum, this exhibit is filled with tons of fun, historical facts. Like did you know Walt Disney himself was the first voice of Mickey Mouse!?

This is exhibit is two stories of Mickey fun. The first floor is primarily the history of Mickey Mouse, and the top floor is filled with Mickey Mouse art. Art created by a various artist to show their love for the Mouse, and Walt Disney.

The Mickey Exhibit is extra, $35 total for both Museum and Exhibit ticket, and it is worth every penny. You can spend a whole day touring the museum and exhibit, plus you can see a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge from Presidio or Crissy Field, which isn’t too far away. The Mickey Exhibit ends January 6th, 2020.
