Insomniac has created an immersive experience at the Santa Anita Race Track! Insomniac’s Founder Pasqual Rotella has been around the “Rave Scene,” for a while and during this rave drive-thru event, you’ll partake in his and Insomniac’s journey through the years.
The journey begins as soon as you enter the queue line. You can tune in to an Insomniac curated radio in which Paqual talks about his journey to creating Insomniac and all of its amazing events. While in line you can also order items for pick up before entering the Electric Mile like snacks, prism glasses, glow tubes and much more, you can also order merchandise you pick up once you exit. I will add that if you purchased a general admission pass the wait can be very lengthy, about an hour. They do have portable restrooms if you must go, so I suggest you limit your liquid intake before or while in line. Now on to the Electric Mile.
Pasqual Rotella talks about how raves were often held in different, secret locations and often in abandoned warehouses. So what better place to start your journey than at a warehouse party. From here it moves on to all the creative and themed events Insomniac holds yearly (pre-pandemic): Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal, Psycho Circus, EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival), and others. The mile is beautifully lit with light shows and neon signs, characters dance to the tunes on the radio that are specially curated to fit the lights and theme in the section you are driving through. Throughout the entire electric mile, you will be wowed, bobbing your head to the music and wanting to dance, rave. This is an amazing combination of a journey through Insomniac history and a rave in your car!
